After last year setup reuploading the tank, really wondefull anna, one year ah Nan cleaning eh panala, 2 weeks ku munnadi than konjam algae matum scrape panen, and 50 percent food eh podarathu ila, ooruku ponalum was good and tension free, most important water refill matum than panen, no water change

For substrate 

I have added mix of  red soil, old plant soil, dry leaf pieces, vermicompost, cocopeat.

Above that I have added 2 inch river sand.

And I have 3 to 4 types of plant

For lighting: 5watts led light .the will be on for around 10 to 12 hrs

Filter : hanging filter

 And left two days for the water to get set.

After that I have added betta fish.

After a week the plant started to melt

Is this normal ?

Or

 Any suggestions to fix this issue.

    • I followed your instructions and planted fish tank set paniruken, 1st layer normal soil, 2nd layer sand and some plants, apuram stones from river vechu chumma oru decoration, nalla work aagum nu namburen, have to wait and see, I'll attach my photo here

    why do you prefer river sand over artificial ones. how is it different from artificial tank once we wash we it with regular water.
