Hi,

Three days ago, I set up a natural planted tank. It has 20 stems of various plants and 6 morph fish(small). Can I just let it be, or is a filter really necessary?
tank size: 50x25x30 cm.

P.S: First time on a forum, dont know how this works. Sorry for the image quality..

Thanks for using our forum to get help. I would suggest having a basic sponge filter when the tank is new. Filter will help keep the balance and help aeration in a new tank. Until the Nitrogen cycle is set, the tank will need help from us. Once everything is set and based on your confidence, you can stop using filters.

@hariprasad_shpyahoo-com Thank you. Also just saw that fish are coming to the surface a lot, for oxygen I think. There is that, so, Im installing a filter anyway.. Thanks again. ✌️
